Raja Mehmoodabad
This is the athvi atmosphere at Mehmoodabad the last sement before Moharam that lasted 2 months 8 days in mourning comes to an end.
Mehmoodabad is in Sitapur district very close to Lucknow , here the erstwhile Raja heads the juloos bare feet in simplicity and humility .
A thinker beyond his time , erudite, man of letters but clearly a leading light in Shia piety..my only hope is that Mehmoodabad become a centre of pilgrimage for its rozas.
Also one of our Shia mosques under the hands of the Sunnis from where the Alams move is returned back to us.. this was the only place in Mehmoodabad that I saw Sunni hate for photographers..this area of the procession was not allowed to be shot, with dire consequences to the life of the photographer.
The Raja of Mehmoodabad won the case his properties have been returned to him..I wish him and his progeny well..he is a man to inspire mankind with his love for all things human.
