Zuljana Islam at Crossroads

zuljana

Imam Hussain was the grandson of the Holy Prophet of Islam. After the passing away of the Prophet , there was a clamouring of power , though the Holy Prophet had inadvertently mentioned at Ghadir Qum Man Kunto Moula Ali Fazhaiun Moula , simply translated it meant give Ali the same respect as you give me.

However on his death , there was a political conspiracy, hatched in such a way that Ali lost his right to the Caliphate. Abubaker became the First Caliph of Islam. The followers of Ali could not take the disparage so a non temporal, spiritual post came into being called Imamat. Ali was the first Imaam..All the Imams died tragic death. The 12th Imam for the Shias is Hidden he is known as the Mahdi or Al Muntazar or Imam e Zamana .This is the irrevocable difference between Shias and Sunnis who form the majority Islamic sect. The Shia are about 15% scatterd in some countries but a majority in Iraq Iran Azaerbaijan.

Imam Hussain was asked to pay allegiance to the Caliph of his time Yazid of the Ummayad Caliphate, Hussain declined as Yazid was anti Islam corrupt and a despot. A battle took place between the warriors of Yazids army led by Shimr.. Imam Hussains 72 warriors, this was one of the most barbaric chapters of Islam, where not even a six month child of the imam was spared.Ali Asghar was shot down by an arrow with which you shoot wild life Water was blocked at the Euphrates, everyone was killed save a surviving sickly son of the Imam known as Sajjad or Zainul Abedin the ladies and the indomitable sister of the Imam , Bibi Zainab , a four year daughter Bibi Sakina . Imam Hussain was shot down by arrows, Zuljana his faithful steed taking the brunt of the attack, after that Shimr decapitated the Imams head , their clothes belongings looted, bodies trampled by horses, their head put up on spears, women children enslaved, taken to Damascus to the court of Yazid..

This was the beginning of Jehadi terrorism or Yazidiyat , in the name of Allah, this was the treatment meted out to the Holy Prophets family. In India when Alexandra conquered Porus, Alexandra asked him what treatment should I mete out to you..or how should I treat you. Porus replied a treatment befitting a King..this is Indian thought, hospitabilty to which Imam Hussain was enamoured, when he was stopped at Karbala before the carnage and genocide he told the Yazidi forces to allow him to go to Hindustan , where he said I know there are no Muslims, but yes there are human beings..he was talking of a land that belonged to Brahma Vishnu Mahadev..

So Moharam is not just about shedding blood , cutting foreheads , self flagellation, its about human dignity defying death ,upholding the principles of Truth..

Zuljana a four legged animal symbolises faithfulness that was lacking among the Yazidi forces , they knew the enemy they had come to crush was the grandson of the Holy Prophet but they impotently kept mum, like todays rulers Muftis , Islamic heads of State who watch the terror inflicted on Humanity, but have no balls to stand up collectively and say.. Stop this Carnage. This is not the Islam preached by the Holy Prophet..or his Imams.

This is the honest truth as I see it , Islam is at crossroads , it is a crusade not between the Cross or the Crescent , it is a crusade of Hate ,yes Muslims are bent on destroying Islam, Muslims love killing Muslims.. This is a picture of Zuljana at a Moharam Juloos.Every Juloos is incomplete without the Zuljana.

Today Islam has been politicised for personal gains , by vested interests, this mornings paper talked of a threat to India by a subsidiary of Al Qaeda called Qaeede Hind..this is criminalisation of a spirtual thought of Islam , this is satanism , the Shia shedding blood is called Heresy, the Puritanical Muslim killing Humanity is called Jehad.. For once I am shocked at the moderation of my Intelligence.. Yes I would rather be a Shia cutting myself up…shedding my own blood than asking little kids to decapitate Journalist heads, a dead Pearl of Wisdom..

THE BEST FORM OF SERVICE TO THE DEVOTION OF GOD IS NOT TO MAKE A SHOW OF IT.

sayings of ali

THE BEST FORM OF SERVICE TO THE DEVOTION OF GOD IS NOT TO MAKE A SHOW OF IT.
SAYINGS OF IMAM ALI .

Yes we show our devotion bombing holy places , decapitating heads , after all , decapitation was the in thing in early Islam.Whether Imam Hussain or Hazrat Ali .
Imagine that the clergy of that time was mum, eternal silence , this was the Caliphate, politicising ,corrupting ,the soul of Islam .
You could take your sword in the Masjid cut of the mans head bowed in prayers to Allah.
This was for the greater good of Islam.
Today it is just the same , lob bombs grenades in the House Of God..the clergy has lost its Voice. The rampant killings , instant Paradise.
Today even God is not safe from his own followers .
We who have euologised Terrorist , glorified Terrorism, as an Islamic way of ridding the non believer or Kafir.
Internationally the heads of Islam keep mum, no collective reprimand , mere lip locked silence.
Nobody has the balls to get up and say , guys enough is enough what you are doing is not Islam. But we have glorified criminals as Martyrs. In Karbala criminals Martyred the seed of the Holy Prophet.
Yes we Glorify Hussainiyat , we glorify his Martyrdom..we with our annual chant of Ya Hussain , warn the next Yazid, we wont take another Karbala lying down.
So we keep Azadari E Hussain alive.

Live Like Ali Die Like Hussain

ali and hussain

Date: 03/05/2006 Time: 11:35 PM Live Like Ali Die Like Hussain
This is the true Shia belief two stalwarts father and son..Hazrat Ali was the father cousin of The Holy Prophet married to his only daughter Janabe Syeda or Bibi Fatima Zohra… Hassan and Hussain were their male children.

Assassination of Ali
Abdur Rahman b Muljam al Sarimi, the designated assassin of Ali, reached Kufa well before the appointed date. Here he fell in love with a Kharijite girl Qataum by name. According to chronicles she was an outstanding beauty. She had a face as beautiful as the moon, and her flowing jet black tresses were most captivating. Her father and brother had been killed in the Battle of Nahrawan, and she was fired with the desire to avenge their death. She agreed to marry Abdur Rahman if he could present to her the head of Ali as her dower. As he was already committed to the assassination of Ali he readily accepted the condition laid down by his beloved. At the instance of Qataum, two more Kharijites joined with Abdur Rahman in the conspiracy to assassinate Ali. One of them was Werdan, who was related to Qataum. The other was Shaubib b Bijrah who belonged to the tribe of Anjah.

On the Friday morning of the seventeenth day of the month of Ramadan, the three conspirators went to the main mosque of Kufa just before the break of dawn. Here they took up their position in the narrow passage leading to the prayer hall. A little later Ali came, the mosque when it was still dark and there was no one else in the mosque. When Ali stood to pray, Werdan struck at Ali, but missed his mark. Then Abdur Rahman struck Ali on the forehead with this poisoned sword which penetrated on the brain through the scar of an old wound. Thereafter the assassins fled from the mosque.

When the faithful assembled in the mosque for prayers they found Ali lying wounded on the prayer mat. A hunt for the assassins was made. Werdan resisted being taken captive and was killed. Abdur Rahman was apprehended and taken into custody. The third conspirator escaped from Kufa. Abdur Rahman confessed his guilt. He said that he had struck his blow at Ali in the name of God for he considered that in seeking power, Ali had sinned and was guilty of killing thousands of innocent people. Ali cursed Abdur Rahman for his misguided views. He, however, instructed his men that the assassin should be kept in custody and should not be subjected to any hardship. He observed that if he recovered from the wound, he would himself decide what punishment should be awarded to him. If he died the assassin was to lose his life. He was, however, to be killed in one stroke, and was neither to be mutilated nor made to suffer languishing death.

The wounds of Ali proved to be fatal. No antidote could be found to counter affect the poison that had penetrated into the body of Ali. The condition of Ali steadily deteriorated and he breathed his last on the 24th of January 661 C.E. From God he came and to God he returned.

Death of Imam Hussain
Al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali Sayyidu’sh-Shuhada
(Peace be Upon him)

Name: al-Husayn.
Title: Sayyidu’sh-Shuhada’.
Agnomen: Abu ‘Abdillah.
Father’ s name: ‘Ali Amir al-Mu’minin.
Mother’s name:Fatimah (Daughter of the Holy Prophet).
Birth: In Medina on Thursday, 3rd Sha’ban 4 AH.
Death: Martyred in Karbala’ (Iraq) at the age of 57, on Friday, 10th Muharram 61 AH and buried there.

In the House of the Holy Prophet, which presented the best image of both the worlds - the heaven and the earth- a child who benefited humanity as if he was a Divine Impression reflecting the earth, was born on one of the nights of the month of Sha’ban. His father was Imam ‘Ali, the best model of kindness towards his friends and the bravest against the enemies of Islam, and his mother was Hadrat Fatimah, the only daughter and child of the Holy Prophet, who had as universally acknowledged, inherited the qualities of her father. Imam Husayn, is the third Apostolic Imam. When the good news of his birth reached the Holy Prophet, he came to his daughter’s house, took the newly-born child in his arms, recited adhan and iqamah in his right and left ears respectively, and on the 7th day of his birth, after performing the rites of ‘aqlqah, named him al-Husayn, in compliance with Allah’s command. ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas relates: “On the very day when Imam Husayn was born, Allah ordered angel Gabriel to descend and congratulate the Holy Prophet on His Behalf and on his own.
While descending, Gabriel passed over an island where the angel Futrus had been banished due to his delay in executing a commission assigned by Allah. He was deprived of his wings and expelled to the island where he remained for several years praying and worshipping Allah and asking for His forgiveness. “When the angel Futrus saw Gabriel, he called out, ‘ Where are you going, O Gabriel?’ To this he replied, ‘ Husayn, the grandson of Muhammad is born, and for this very reason Allah has commanded me to convey His congratulations to His Apostle.’ Thereupon, the angel said, ‘ Can you carry me also along with you? May Muhammad recommend my case to Allah.’ Gabriel took the angel along with him, came to the Holy Prophet, offered congratulations to him on behalf of Allah and himself and referred the case of the angel to him.
The Holy Prophet said to Gabriel, ‘Ask the angel to touch the body of the newly-born child and return to his place in Heaven.’ On doing this, the angle re-obtained his wings instantly and praising the Holy Prophet and his newly- born grandson, ascended towards the Heaven. Hasan and Husayn, the two sons of the Holy Imam ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib and Hadrat Fatimah, our Lady of Light, were respected and revered as the ‘Leaders of the Youths of Paradise’ as stated by the Holy Prophet. The Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be Upon him and his progeny, had openly prophesied that the faith of Islam would be rescued by his second grandson Husayn, when Yazid, son of Mu’awiayh, would endeavour to destroy it. Yazid was known for his devilish character and brutish conduct. He was known as the most licentious of men. The people having known and understood the character of Yazid, formed a covenant by which Mu’awiyah could not appoint Yazid as his successor. This undertaking was given by Mu’awiyah to Imam Hasan from whom Mu`awiyah had snatched power. Mu’awiyah violated this undertaking and nominated Yazid who succeeded his father. Immediately as he came to power, Yazid began acting in full accordance with his known character. He started interfering in the fundamentals of the faith and practiced every vice and wickedness freely with the highest degree of impunity and yet held himself out as the successor of the Holy Prophet, demanding allegiance to himself as the leading guide of the faith.
Paying allegiance to Yazid was nothing short of acknowledging the devil as Cod. If a divine personality like the holy Imam Husayn had agreed to his authority, it would be actually recommending the devil to humanity in place of Cod. Yazid demanded allegiance from the Holy Imam Husayn, who could have never agreed to it at any cost. The people fearing death and destruction at the hands of the tyrant had yielded to him out of fear. Imam Husayn said that come what- ever may, he would never yield to the devil in place of God and undo what his grandfather, the Holy Prophet had established. The refusal of the Holy Imam to pay allegiance to this fiend, marked the start of the persecution of the Holy Imam. As a result he had retired to Medina where he led a secluded life. Even here he was not allowed to live in peace, and was forced to seek refuge in Mecca where also he was badly harassed, and Yazid plotted to murder him in the very precincts of the great sanctuary of Ka’bah.
In order to safeguard the great sanctuary, Imam Husayn decided to leave Mecca for Kufah just a day before tile haj (pilgrimage). When asked the reason for the mysterious departure from Mecca foregoing the pilgrim- age which was only the next day Imam Husayn said that he would perform this year’s pilgrimage at Karbala’, Offering the sacrifice not of any animals, but of his kith and kin and some faithful friends. He enumerated the names of his kith and kin who would lay down their lives with him in the great sacrifice at Karbala’. The people of Kufah getting tired of the tyrannic and satanic rule of Yazid, had written innumerable letters and sent emissaries to Imam Husayn to come over and give them guidance in faith. Although Imam
Husayn knew the ultimate end of the invitations, he as the divinely chosen Imam could not refuse to give the guidance sought for. When the Holy Imam with his entourage had reached karbala’, his horse mysteriously stopped and would not move any further. Upon this the holy Imam declared: “This is the land, the land of sufferings and tortures.” He alighted from his horse, and ordered his followers to encamp there saying: Here shall we be martyred and our children be killed. Here shall our tents be burned and our family arrested. This is the land about which my grandfather the Holy Prophet had foretold, and his prophecy will certainly be fulfilled.”
On the 7th of Muharram water supply to the lmam’s carnp was cut and the torture of thirst and hunger started. the holy Imam’s camp consisted of ladies, innocent children including babies and some male members of the Holy prophet’s family; along with a small band of some faithful friends of Imam Husayn who had chosen to die with the Holy Imam, fighting against the devil for the cause of Allah.
* * *
The Day of ‘Ashura (10th of Muharram):
At dawn the Imam glanced over the army of Yazid and saw ‘Umar ibn Sa’d ordering his forces to march to- wards him. He gathered his followers and addressed them thus: “Allah has, this day, permitted us to be engaged in a Holy War and He shall reward us for our martyrdom. So prepare yourselves to fight against the enemies of Islam with patience and resistance. O sons of the noble and self-respecting persons, be patient ! heath is nothing but a bridge which you must cross after facing trials and tribulations so as to reach Heaven and its joys. Which of you do not like to go from this prison (world) to the lofty palaces (Paradise ) ? ” Having heard the Imam’s address, all his companions were overwhelmed and cried out, “O our Master! We are ail ready to defend you and your Ahlu ‘I-hayt, and to sacrifice our lives for the cause of Islam.” Imam Husayn sent out from his camp one after an- other to fight and sacrifice their lives in the way of the Lord. Lastly, when all his men and children had laid down their lives, Imam Husayn brought his six-month old baby son ‘Ali al-Asghar, and offering him on his own hands, demanded some water for the baby, dying of thirst. The thirst of the baby was quenched by a deadly poisoned arrow from the brute’s forces, which pinned the baby’s neck to the arm of the helpless father. At last when the six-month old baby also was killed, Imam Husayn addressed Allah: “O Lord! Thy Husayn has offered in Thy way whatever Thou hath blessed him with. Bless Thy Husayn, O Lord! with the acceptance of this sacrifice.
Everything Husayn could do till now was through Thy help and by Thy Grace.” Lastly, Imam Husayn came into the field and was killed, the details of which merciless slaughter are heart rending. The forces of Yazid having killed Imam Husayn, cut and severed his head from his body and raised it on a lance. The severed head of the Holy Imam began glorifying Allah from the point of the lance saying, ‘Allahu Akbar’. “All glory be to Allah Who is the Greatest!” After the wholesale, merciless and most brutal slaughter of the Holy Imam with his faithful band, the help- less ladies and children along with the ailing son of Imam Husayn, Imam ‘Ali Zaynu ‘l-’Abidin, were taken captives

Shia Kids are Muslims too.

safed tazia

I have always maintained in my blogs, that we are Shias not just because of our fathers , or the Mullahs, our Shiasm comes directly from our mothers womb, foating in the amniotic fluid, a pond of our birth, our gyrations in the womb, the cries of Ya Hussain..in our mothers womb baptises us to our Faith much before we are born.
May be I sound exaggerative , but I always felt this way, it is our mothers who carry us within their bellies or when we are born on their waists , dragging us from one majlis to anothet, this majlis hopping is unstoppable, if you stay in Lucknow ,you are into Moharam 24/7 .
The child is very perceptive to sound to visuals, the black clothes, the alams, the matam, the tears, call it a kind of brain washing , but a better word would be soul washing.
Now dont get shocked it is these children that make us better Shias , always leading from the front, their fervour , in everything connected to Moharam.
While at a young age they sit at Sabils the watering holes distributing water to one and all, without reservations , without Shia Sunni or Hindu Muslim difference..the water in the name of Hussain.
Yes our Faith is a drop of water,it resides in our eyes.
God made tears than placed them in Shia eyes.
Shia eyes will never run dry.. the rivers might.
As long as the Name of Hussain remains Alive.
This is Ghame Hussain.
I am fascinated with children, I shoot children ,Shia children shoot me , here in this picture I made them pose, purposely, to show you the discipline of their actions to anything connected to Imam Hussain.
They know this photographer long hair, earrings , blonde hair, whatever his country he is a follower of Hussain.. Hussainiyat is a Universl passport, no borders , we bond through the blood of Hussain..We might beat our chest in Delhi or Lucknow or Mumbai or Hyderabad on Ashura , but sounds will like speed of light cover Pakistan, Iran Azerbaijan, reverberate at the Roza of Imam Hussain at Karbala.. This is Shiasm.
No I do not forget those Shias in UK USA Canada, New Zealand Australia..here too the sounds are twice harder one for the land of their forefathers, yes I am crying, another for Karbala the land of our Faith. Our spiritual nationalism is Hussainyat another name for Humanity.
Yes we are Shias.
Call us what you want to , whether you call us heretics , kaffirs, the fact remains and almost taunts your pristine opinion, we have kept the Bayt alive .. we the believers of Ahle Bait.
We believe in the same Almighty Allah, the same Holy Prophet, you perhaps dont believe in his Progeny , but that is your prerogative.
We have the same Kalma , the same Azan.. we let our hands lose..
So why cant we co exist..
Why are we just Shia Sunnis .
Why during riots, ethnic cleansing by other races we are killed as Muslims, our women raped our children sodomized.. perhaps you are shocked at my harsh words, but they are mild very mild compared to the grenades that as Muslims we lob in Masjids, suicide bombing Namazis.
Yes we are Muslims..we are products of our Arabic ancestral barbarism, we kill to shock , with style, we kill each other like we killed Hazrat Ali in the Mosque.
Or Imam Hussain and his family mercilessly without water and food at Karbala.
But yes we are Muslims we slaughter cattle goats during Bakra Idd..
Yes we Muslms certailny love to kill.. our own kind more than anything.
Our Mullah are busy watching a late night show.
The Silence of the Lambs.

Below are pictures of Kids of Mr Shabeeb Rizvis household who reinforce my faith, everytime it gets shaky..the Rizvi kids are the true apostles of our Faith.. I did not use the word Soldiers.. we have enough of them as 12 year old chopping heads for the greater glory of Islam across the borders.

The Little Sakina

little sakina

This little girl is the daughter of Munna who recites namaz on fire during Ag ka Matam , most of the julooos she accompanies him loyally, dressed in a manner to invoke the pain that Hazrat Imam Hussains 4 year old Sakina had to bear , after the Martyrdom of her beloved father , brothers, relatives , but her sense of guilt was sending her Uncle Hazrat Abbas to fill her water pouch , from the blocked river of Euphrates.
Her Uncle Abbas surrounded by the might of the Ummayad armies till the bitter end..hands dismembered from a brave body, he gripped the water pouch by his jaws, but Arabian cruelty , inhumanness is a genetic trait, they spared him not, the water pouch, like a ripped heart of a little child bled , as the blood of Hazrat Abbas mingled with it, yes this precious parched water pouch we Shias call Mashke Sakina.
Every battle has certain rules, even the worst enemy is shown some form of tolerance, but this is the Tolerance of an unspeakable Ummayad Islam…Hazrat Abbas the warriors head to was decapitated hung on a spear as a war trophy, to be presented to Yazid.
Now remember these glorious fighters are presumably all Namazis, having the Holy Koran on their person, the tazbi… Islamic piety, their enemy a handful, 72 so to speak, the charge of the light brigade is nothing in comparison to Karbala as a battlefield.. the Holy Prophets Inheritance wiped away in a single slash…the Arab world condemns the hanging of Saddam Hussain, he was not given the rightful death, , no dignity in hid death, hoodlums killed him, taunted him, filmed his last moments for posterity and a hungry electronic media… the whole world was up in arms.. protest , everywhere in the Islamic world… revenge killings in Iraq, Pontious Pilate Bush , had already washed his hands they were smelling like roses, he took an extra dose of his sleeping pill, Commander of the US Armed forces…
Like the others I too would condemn the way he was killed, forgetting all his genocide, his inhuman laws that crushed oppositional thought..but for a moment cut back to Karbala.. well the Arabs have already forgotten it, we Shias keep it Alive , year after year , 1400 years a single chant like bellls reminding the world of a greater holocaust, than that carried out by Hitler.
Simly because this is the seed of the Man who gave us a reason to live with Dignity, who gave us the Kalma who bought us out from the wilderness of the Dark Ages, mind you I am not a Koranic scholar or historian, I am a pot of clay, yes I shed drops to show you my pain.. I crack when I am parched, so now you try to see Pain through the eyes of a Shia.. yes we relive it , we call this state on mind Azadari E Hussain , we use symbols, not just rhetoric , so our children, even in their darkest hours, will realise there is no greater pain than that of Imam Hussain.. this is known as Ghame Hussain.
The 10 th day of Moharam is called Ashura the Ultimate sacrifice the Head on a Platter…
but not the Hand…

SHAH AST HUSSAIN BADSHAH AST HUSSAIN
DEEN AST HUSSAIN DEEN PANAH AST HUSSAIN
SURDAD, NADAD DUST DUR DASTE YAZID
HAQQA KE BENAYE LA ILAH AST HUSSAIN

Hussain is the king, indeed he is the king of kings
Hussain is Deen and also the protector of Deen
He gave his head but not his hand of allegiance in the hand of Yazid
Indeed he was the founder (Like his grandfather)
of the concept of One God.

Two months eight days we grieve, our lives colorless, monochromatically shadowed black, I am happy I do not have to filch words from Shia sites this one time.. save the quatrain Shah ast Hussain.
So we go through Ashura , towards Chehlum, to Athvi.. till we realise that the Imam tear eyed too wants t go back to the land od Sorrows Karbala, all the Bibis the children, heads covered crossing the Hindu Kush, little Sakina turning back her head , yes Hazrat abbas will notleave , lying at his Dargah in LUCKNOW , YES HEAR MY SOBS , WE SHIAS TEND TO CRY SUCH IS THE ELOQUENCE OF THE HOLES MADE ON A WATER POUCH CALLED MASHKE SAKINA.. The Fourth Imam too walking unsteadily , chaind that have yet remaind cutting into the flesh of his soul, man can live many lives , but the Fourth Imam lived one Life ..a life that reverbrated the silence of the winds and the sandstorms crying out like a wounded eagle caught in electrical wires of modern times Sham Sham Sham.
Yes Ahle Bait moves the finger, of a wounded hand etching sorrow of our omnipresent pain.
Ya Hussain
Ya Hussain.
I personally a day after Navi started going back , yes Moharam.. starts the day after Navi for me…I am a heretic , I am a Hindu, I am everything , but whatever my greatest sin, even if you doubt the sincerity of my so called Shiasm, unlike yours, I will now confess ,, as the caravan moves away from the vision of my Imagination, I see one Lady , a solitary lady with huge Wings , protecting the caravan her flapping Rida , echoing words that soothe the turbulence of the Winds .. Nade Alliun Mazhbul Ajaib.. yes Janabe Zainab,, the Indomitable sister of Imam Hussain reciting Words without borders…
Yes Janabe Zainab.. the power and strength of an Islamic conviction…
Without her …nothingness.. minarets Azan and nothing else…
Today we see Karbala and Shaam through her Rida..

Today is a sad day for the Shia their first imam was martyred on this Holy month of Ramzan, and this is the irony of Islam, even the Mosque was not spared to do the evil satanic deeds and unfortunately the same thing continues lobbing of grenades doing prayers , bombing mosques , houses of worship that don’t adhere to a particular Sunni belief of distorted puritanism,
And Puritanism is human life whether that of a believer or non believer , and no one has a right to condemn man to death and play God.
And Islamic history shows whenever Innocence was killed, or destroyed the people in power and the coterie around let it happen, without batting an eyelid, whether it was at Karbala, or in modern times under Saddam Hussain, the minarets of the rest of the Muslim world went about, uncondoning such attacks, it was only issues like the cartoons that got them overtly aroused, Muslims killing Muslims in the name of ethnic cleansing was given a clean chit by the Silence.
This modern Terrorism is because of the silence and a very powerful impotent silence cultivated and nurtured by a distorted dogma, distorted Gospel, and the hierarchy of rogue Mullahs.
And the custodians of the Holy Shrines are more interested in the safety of their Kingdom.. a total sham and hypocrisy of humanity and the human rights of people all over the world.
I feel ashamed, and on the 21st day of Ramzan I feel the killings in Mosques around the world will never end.

AlÄ« ibn AbÄ« Ṭālib (علي بن أﺑﻲ طالب)‎ (599 – 661)[1] was an early Islamic leader. He is seen by Sunni Muslims as the last of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs. Shi’a Muslims consider him the First Imam appointed by the Prophet Muhammad and the first rightful caliph. Ali was the cousin of Muhammad, and after marriage to Fatima Zahra, he also became Muhammad’s son-in-law.

Ali was born on 13 Rajab in Makkah, in the Hijaz region of central western Arabia. According to well-known traditional accounts Ali was born ten years before the commencement of the prophetic mission of the Muhammad SAW, sometime around 599 CE [2] or 600 CE [3](approximately).

There are many Shi’a traditions about the birth of Ali. Some claim that when Ali’s mother was pregnant with him, she had astonishing dreams and experienced abdominal pains when worshipping idols.[12] Fatima bint Asad entered Kaaba to pray the God. She felt weighed down by intense pain when Ali was due to be born. “[People witnessed] the wall of Kaabah broke apart and Fatima bint-e-Asad entered into the Kaabah. Then the wall again united.”[4] The keys of the shrine were brought to unlock the door but all efforts ended in failure. On the third day of this happening Fatima emerged radiant from the sacred premises, cheerfully holding her new-born baby in her arms.[5] She was greeted by Muhammad, who took the child from her arms and kissed him. The infant Ali had not taken any milk, so his first taste of liquid was the saliva upon Muhammad’s lips. Other accounts claim that he was able to recite from the Torah upon being born.

These reports are considered exaggerations and myths by Sunnis and most secular historians, who consider it unlikely that Ali was born in the Kaabah or could read the Torah. There is no mention of any such event in the earliest Islamic histories.

As early as the ninth century, a Muslim historian related a similar experience to the birth of Muhammad: “As soon as he came out of his mother’s womb, he said ‘God is great’. At one month he crawled, at two months he stood, at three months he walked, at four months he ran, and at nine months he shot arrows.”[6] In the fields of comparative mythology and comparative religion, these are examples of myth-making and history fabrication about the birth of a reverred figure, a practice which is found in many societies and cultures

The small community of Muslim immigrants in Medina, the Muhajirun, were at first extremely poor. They had no land, no houses, and lived on the charity of the Madinans who had converted to Islam. Ali shared in all the labor and hardships of the community.

For the ten years that Muhammad led the community in Medina, Ali was extremely active in his service, serving in his armies, leading parties of warriors on raids, and carrying messages and orders. With the exception of Tabuk, Ali joined all of battles and expeditions fought for Islam. As Muhammad’s son-in-law and one of his lieutenants, Ali was a person of authority and standing in the Muslim community [16].

Ali first distinguished himself as a warrior in 624 CE, at the Battle of Badr. He defeated the Banu Umayyed champion Walid ibn Utba as well as many other Meccan soldiers. “Al Seerah” of Ibn Husham narrated he killed 20 of the pagans[11] and “Al Maghazi” narrated he killed 22 of them.[12] He was publicly praised by Muhammad.[13]

After this, he asked for the hand in marriage of Fatima Zahra, Muhammad’s daughter by Khadijah. Fatima and Muhammad consented, and the marriage was solemnized two months after the battle. [14]

Ali was also prominent at the Battle of Uhud, as well as many other battles where he wielded a bifurcated sword known as Zulfiqar. [15] At the beginning Ali killed “Talhah Ibn Abu Talhah” and then his brother “Abu Saad Ibn Abu Talhah” the bearers of the banner of the pagans. [16] Ibn Al-Atheer, Abu Rafi and Tabari report that Ali, alone, destroyed all the standard bearers.[17] , The death of the bearers of the banner heightened the morale of the Muslims and shook the hearts of the pagans and when the army of Islam was defeated and most of the Muslims scaped Ali was one of the few muslims who defended Muhammad. According to Ibn Atheer “The Prophet become the object of the attack of various units of the army of Quraysh from all sides. Ali attacked, in compliance with the Prophet’s orders, every unit that made an attack upon him (the Prophet) and dispersed them or killed some of them, and this thing took place a number of times in Uhud” [18] and there was said “La Fata Illa Ali, La Saifa Illa Zulfiqar” (There is no brave man except Ali and there is no sward which renders service except Zulfiqar -which was in the hands of Ali) .”[19]

In the Battle of the Trench he killed “Amr ibn Wodd” -one the most heroes of enemeis - in what was a great calamity to the Meccan army. [20] [21]

Gadir Khumm
On 10 March 632 CE (18th of Dhu’l-Hijjah of 10 AH) the caravan of Muhammad arriving from his farewell hajj stopped at Ghadir Khumm, along with a group of Muslims returning to Madinah with him. It was an area where people from varying provinces used to greet each other before taking different routes home.[22] On giving a speech to the Muslims there, Muhammad said:

“O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger (the angel of death) from my Lord and I, in response to Allah’s call, (would bid good-bye to you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. [23].”

Although its authenticity is disputed,[24] some of Sunni and all of Shi’a recources report that Muhammad then proclaimed:

“For whoever I am a Mawla of, then ‘Ali is his Mawla[24][22].”

This statement is seen by Sunnis as a recommendation of Ali’s good qualities and a refutation to prevailing rumours about him, although Shia see it as a confirmation of Ali’s succession to Muhammad and Imamah[citation needed]

The death of Muhammad
In 632 Muhammad had been ailing for some time, but seemed to have recovered somewhat. He left his house to take part in prayers at the mosque, then returned to his quarters and died.

While Ali and the rest of Muhammad’s close family were washing the prophet’s body for burial, at a gathering attended by a small group of Muslims at Saqifah, the sucession was given to Abu Bakr by vote. According to Sunni accounts, Muhammad died without having appointed a successor, and with a need for leadership, they gathered and voted for the position of caliph. Shi’a accounts differ by asserting that Muhammad had designated Ali as his successor on a number of occasions, including on his death bed.Ali had many friends, followers and supporters who believed that he should have succeeded Muhammad. This did not create an immediate division, however, because Ali did not fight against the elected caliphs. [25]

The succession to Muhammad is an extremely contentious issue. Muslims ultimately divided into two branches based on their political attitude towards this issue, which forms the primary theological barrier between the two major divisions of Muslims: Sunni and Shi’a, with the latter following Ali as the successor to Muhammad. The two groups also disagree on Ali’s attitude towards Abu Bakr, and the two caliphs who succeeded him: Umar ibn al-Khattab and Uthman ibn Affan. Sunnis tend to stress Ali’s acceptance and support of their rule, while the Shi’a claim that he distanced himself from them. They argue that he did not do so because he was angry at having been denied worldly power and pleasure; rather, he felt that he had a duty to keep the Muslim community on the strict path of Islam, and that he was being kept from fulfilling the religious duty that Muhammad had appointed to him. The Sunni Muslims say that if Ali was the rightful successor as ordained by God Himself, then it would have been his duty as the leader of the Muslim nation to make war with these people (Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman) until Ali established the decree. But Ali did not fight Abu Bakr, ‘Umar nor Uthman because if he decided to, it would have caused a civil war amongst the Muslims, which was still a nascent community throughout the Arab world.[26]

Inheritance
Shi’a Muslims believe that Ali and Fatima, as well as the wives of Muhammad had an additional cause for disaffection with Abu Bakr [27]. The new caliph argued that Muhammad’s considerable landed property had been held by the prophet in trust for the community, and was rightfully the property of the state — despite Ali’s rejoinder that Muhammad’s revelations included accounts of prophetic inheritance (Qur’an 27:16, 21:89). According to Shi’a Muslims, Abu Bakr gave state pensions to Muhammad’s widows, but Muhammad’s blood relatives, Ali, Fatima and Ibn Abbas, did not receive even that much.

After Fatima’s death, Ali again claimed her inheritance, but was denied with the same argument. However, Umar, the caliph who succeeded Abu Bakr, did restore the estates in Medina to al-Abbas and Ali, as representatives of Muhammad’s clan, the Banu Hashim. The properties in Khaybar and Fadak were retained as state property (Madelung 1997 p. 62). Shi’a sources regard this as another instance of the persecution of Muhammad’s lineage, the Ahl al-Bayt, at the hands of the caliphs they regard as usurpers. [28]

Succession to the caliphate
In 656 CE, the third caliph Uthman, was murdered in his own house in Medina by assassins. Uthman’s plea to Muawiyah for rescue had not been answered. Medina, now a large city and the capital of an empire stretching from Africa to Central Asia, fell into chaos. In the crisis, some Muslims turned to Ali, who had been for years a faithful and steady lieutenant of Muhammad and his successors, and urged him to seek the caliphate. He is said to have been horrified by the assassination of Uthman, and did not wish to appear to be profiting from the situation. [17]

Some opponents at the time claimed that he had connived at the murder of Uthman, or at the very least had been negligent in seeking the murderers. The accusation, according to Shi’a sources, mainly came from those who fell out of favour and those who were denied the generous powerful positions granted to them under the rule of Uthman. [18] Accusations also came from Muawiyah’s supporters. Muawiyah on the pretext of seeking justice for the murder of Uthman refused to pledge allegiance to Ali and then started a campaign to seize power for himself.

Besides his extremely high status in Shi’a Islam, Ali is also revered by Sunnis as the last of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, although many Sunnis have high regard for both Hasan and Mu‘awiyah also. [19]

For a fuller discussion of this and succeeding events, see First Islamic civil war.

Almost the first act of his caliphate was to put down a rebellion led by Talha and az-Zubayr (two eminent companions of Muhammad), who were urged on by Aisha, one of Muhammad’s wifes. In the view of Shi’as, she was a bitter enemy of Ali, and one of the chief hindrances to his advancement to the caliphate. Her rebel army was defeated at the Battle of Basra (also known as the Battle of the Camel); Talha was killed, Zubayr left before the battle following a discussion with Ali and a reminder of their shared past. However he was killed soon after he left the forces of Talha. Aisha was defeated and was captured. Remarkably, instead of any thought of revenge or punishment Ali ensured that she was escorted with all respect to Medina, where she was given a pension. [20]

Soon thereafter, Ali dismissed several provincial governors, some of whom were relatives of Uthman, and replaced them with trusted aides such as Malik ibn Ashter and Salman the Persian. Ali then transferred his capital from Medina to Kufa, the Muslim garrison city in what is now Iraq. The capital of the province of Syria, Damascus, was held by Mu’awiyah, the governor of Syria and a kinsman of Uthman, Ali’s slain predecessor. [21]

Mu’awiyah raised an army and marched against Ali, demanding vengeance for the death of Uthman. A prolonged battle took place in July 657 CE in the Battle of Siffin, near the Euphrates; the battle seemed to be turning in favor of Ali, when a number of the opposing army, fixing copies of the Qur’an to the points of their spears, exclaimed that “the matter ought to be settled by reference to this book, which forbids Muslims to shed each other’s blood.” [22]

At this point, the soldiers of Ali refused to fight any longer, and demanded that the issue be referred to arbitration. Ali and his followers are said to have disagreed over the choice of advocate for Ali. Ali wanted Malik ibn Ashter or Ibn Abbas; his followers are said to have objected. Finally, Abu Musa al Asha’ri was chosen as Ali’s advocate. Amr ibn al-As, a veteran diplomat, was chosen to act for Mu’awiyah. It is claimed that `Amr persuaded Abu Musa that it would be to the advantage of Islam that neither candidate should reign, and asked him to give his decision first. Abu Musa having proclaimed that he deposed both Ali and Mu’awiyah, `Amr declared that he also deposed Ali, but invested Mu’awiyah with the caliphate. This decision greatly injured the cause of Ali, which was still further weakened by the loss of Egypt to Mu’awiya’s forces. [23]

Death

According to tradition, three Muslim zealots (purists later termed Kharijites) had agreed to assassinate Ali, Mu’awiyah and `Amr, as the authors of disastrous feuds among the faithful. The assassins sent against Mu’awiyah and `Amr failed as on the day Muawiyah happened to be wearing his armour underneath his clothes and Amr did not attend the mosque as he was ill; the only assassin who succeeded was the one who attacked Ali. This event has always been shadowed by speculation of a plot masterminded by Muawiyah. The fortuitous concidence that saved Muawiayah and Amr, both bitter enemies of Ali, is considered to have the mark of Muawiyah’s shrewd planning. [24]

Ali suffered a mortal head wound on the 19th of Ramadan while he was performing morning prayers in mosque in the city of Kufa. Some say that the sword that wounded him was poisoned. According to the Shi’a tradition, as he was being struck Ali said “By the Lord of the Ka’bah, I have succeeded!” [25]

Ali died on the 21st of Ramadan (three days after receiving the head wound) in the city of Kufa (Iraq) in 661 CE.

Many Shi’a believe that Ali didn’t want his grave to be desecrated by his enemies and because of that he asked his friends and family members to bury him secretly.. This secret gravesite is supposed to have been revealed in later times. Most Shi’as accept that Ali was buried at what is now the city of Najaf, which grew around the mosque and shrine called Masjid Ali. [29]

One story recounts that the caliph Harun al-Rashid (ruled from 786 to 809) went hunting and came upon a bit of raised ground which his dogs refused to approach. Local inhabitants told him that this was the grave of Ali ibn Abi Talib. The caliph ordered the building of a mausoleum, which was the nucleus of the city and the shrine.
Another story claims that the location of the gravesite was passed from father to son along the line of Shi’a Imams, and that Ja’far al-Sadiq, the sixth Shi’a Imam, told the caliph where to find the grave.

Shab e Zarbat 19th Ramzan,

Shab E Zarbat 19th Ramzan

Today is a day of mourning for the Shias , we wear black clothes, ladies and gents attend special majlis , and will do Ammal in the night ..in rememberance of Hazrat Ali..the 1st Imam husnannd of Bibi Fatima son in law of the Holy Prophet and father of Imam Hassan and Hussain.

On the 19th of Ramadan month (Mah-e-Ramazan) of the year 40 A.H, Imam Ali (pbuh) came to the mosque in Kufa for his morning prayers. Imam Ali (pbuh) gave the call for prayer (Azaan) and became engaged in leading the congregation. Abd-al-Rahman ibn Muljam pretending to pray, stood just behind Imam Ali (pbuh), and when Imam Ali (pbuh) was in a state of prostration, Abd-al-Rahman ibn Muljam dealt a heavy stroke with his sword, inflicting a deep wound on Imam Ali’s (pbuh) head.

The Holy Prophet (pbuh) had prophesied the assassination of Imam Ali (pbuh) and his issues. Regarding Imam Ali (pbuh) he (pbuh) had said, “O Ali! I see before my eyes thy beard dyed with the blood of thy forehead.”

They assassinated Imam Ali (pbuh) at his finest time - the hour of standing before Allah, the Exalted, during a prayer of submission, in the best of days, while fasting during the month of Ramadan (Mah-e-Ramazan); during the most glorious Islamic duties, while preparing to wage jihad, and in the highest and most pure divine places, the Mosque of Kufa.

May joy be to Amir al-Muminin Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (pbuh) and a blessed afterlife!

The crime of assassinating Imam Ali (pbuh) remains one of the most cruel, brutal and hideous, because it was not committed against one man, but against the whole rational Islamic leadership. By assassinating Imam Ali (pbuh), they actually aimed at assassinating the message, the history, the culture and the nation of Muslims embodied in the person of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (pbuh). In doing so, the Islamic nation lost its guide of progress, and at the most wondrous opportunity in its life after the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

Imam Ali (pbuh) suffered from his wound for three days, and He (pbuh) passed away on 21st of the month of Ramadan (Mah-e-Ramazan) at an age of 63 years.

During these three days, he (pbuh) entrusted his son, Imam Hasan (pbuh) with the Imamate of guiding the nation ideologically and socially. During those three days, as during all his life, he never ceased remembering Allah, praising Him, and accepting Him and His ordinance.

Likewise, he continued giving pieces of advice and directions leading to good, pointing to the right, defining the way to guidance, explaining the course for deliverance, calling for the observance of Allah’s ordinances, and warning against following one’s ill desires and set-backs from not carrying out the divine message.

The following is one piece of advice offered to his sons, Imam Hasan (pbuh) and Imam Hussain (pbuh), as well as to his people, the nation and coming generations:

“I advise you to fear Allah, and not to run after (the pleasure of) the world, even if it may run after you. Do not be sorry for anything from it which you have been denied. Say the truth and act for (Allah’s) reward. Be an enemy of the oppressor, and be a helper of the oppressed.”

“I advise you, my children, my household and all those who may receive my message, to fear Allah, to arrange your affairs well, to maintain good relations among yourselves, for I have heard your grandfather (pbuh) saying: ‘Good relations are better than prayer and fasting in general.’”

“(Fear) Allah when handling matters of orphans. Do not let them starve, nor allow them to be lost as long as you are there.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to your neighbors, for they were the trust of your Prophet (pbuh). He went on asking us to take care of them, so much that we thought he would make them heirs (of our heritage).”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to the Holy Quran, (take care that) no one may excel you in following its tenets.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to prayer, as it is the pillar of your religion.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to your Lord’s House (Kaaba), do not forsake it so long as you live, because if you do you will not be looked upon with respect.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to Jihad, fight with your wealth, your lives and your tongues, in the way of Allah.”

“Have mutual liaison and give-and-take. Beware of turning your faces from, and of renouncing, one another. Do not abandon bidding good and forbidding evil, lest vicious people may overrule you, and then in such a case, your invocations will not be responded to (by Allah).”

Then he said: “O, Banu Abdul Muttalib, certainly I do not want you to wade through the blood of the Muslims, crying: Amir al-Muminin was murdered. You certainly kill for me no one but my killer.”

“Wait till I die by this stroke of him (Abd-al-Rahman ibn Muljam), then strike a single stroke against him, and do not disfigure his body, for I had heard the Holy Prophet (pbuh) saying: ‘Avoid mayhem even with a rabid dog.’”

Such was the heroic end of this great man! The loss to the Mission and the nation was the gravest after the loss of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

By the death of Imam Ali (pbuh) the nation lost:

A heroism that had become the song of the time;

A courageous history that has never dreamt of its like;

A wisdom no one can fathom, save Allah;

A purity, the like of which was only in the prophets;

An abstinence from the pleasures of life that could be attained only by the nearest to Allah;

An eloquence such as to be the echo of Book; and

A jurisprudence, and a thorough knowledge of the laws of religion, that made him the ‘gateway of the city’ of the Prophet’s knowledge, and the authority to whom the Islamic nation referred in all its affairs.

Peace be upon Amir al-Muminin the day he was born, the day he was martyred on his altar, and the day he shall be raised alive.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
