hussain is humanity
in one large sweep
the shia back weeps
forgetting his matryrdom
the other world sleeps
through the keyhole
of human consciousness
the inner soul peeps
the blood of the shia
as a 1400 protest seeps
a covenant to his dead forefathers
a promise to keep
