My First Fast of Ramzan
My wife and I are both severe diabetics, but we have religiously kept roza or the Ramzan fast, since many years.
My wife gets up at 3 am to make the chappatis piping hot, serves us our meal clled Sairi.
Its a frugal meal as you can see in the picture.
I drink some water and my first and last cup of black tea.
The finest month of spiritual introspection an religious piety is Ramzan or Ramadhan.
I can hear the shrill voices of the Awakeners waking the Muslims to get ready for the fast, I shall shoot them one of these days but today a few minutes back I shot my wife making the chapattis.
No cliche Islamic images for me..
Just a reality called Ramzan..
A month that reins us in our values and brings us closer to our Maker.
