i am a shia child
born to shia parents
she said
we are hussainis
an imam
who to save islam
from a yazidi curse
gave away his family
his noble head

tears on the soul
and sands of karbala
that bleed red
a cause
called hussainiyat
since birth
to which we are wed
its water
a sorrowful shadow in the
mash ke sakina
flowing through
our eyes
much ahead
allah ho akbar
wild canard
vicious lies
about shiasm
that lovers
of mauwiyah
from cybernetic minarets
are paid to spread
