the color red
year after year

it has bled
bringing back
karbala
memories of the living dead
a shroud of sorrow
in which my soul lies
wrapped in a bedspread
softly silently
no fear no dread
allah ho akbar
into the cosmic consciousness
of my karma and dharma
it is led
